Another Saturday, another look back at 01 October 1926. This time, we are looking at State Road 15. The original route started in Marion, connecting Wabash and Warsaw on its way to Goshen. In the long run, part of this route became part of SR 13.

Richard, I like your work. If it pleases you, I would like to correspond via email regarding a driving trip one of my relatives took in 1919 from Carmel, IN, to Witch Lake in the Michigan UP 564 miles one way. Their “machines” were 2: A Hudson and a Huppmobile. I could use some help regarding the route(s) they probably took to get to Chicago from Carmel. Thanks!

John, I like that idea. I will probably be making contact with you on the weekend. Things have gotten a little hectic at my “day” job, and I end up leaving my house at 1800 and getting home around 0630. But I DO plan on taking you up on this task. There are numerous ways to get from Carmel to Chicago at that time.
